Stavroula is a highly experienced legal advisor with more than two decades of practice in Banking and Finance, Corporate and Commercial Law, Capital Markets, Insolvency and Restructuring, and Regulatory Compliance. She has advised leading international banking institutions, corporate groups, and public authorities on complex, high-value transactions and strategic legal matters in highly regulated environments.

Throughout her career, she has held senior in-house legal positions at major international banks, including Citibank International, HSBC Bank, and Barclays Bank, where she was entrusted with responsibility for corporate lending, capital markets transactions, regulatory compliance frameworks, and supervision of significant litigation portfolios. Her role extended to direct interaction with supervisory authorities, participation in internal control committees, and oversight of risk-sensitive legal matters at institutional level.

She has also served as Senior Legal Advisor to corporate groups and as senior associate in leading law firms, advising on securitizations, debt restructuring, non-performing loan management, corporate financing, privatizations, and complex due diligence projects. In the public sector, she has extensive experience in the implementation of national debt restructuring mechanisms.

Stavroula combines deep technical expertise with strategic judgment, extensive transactional experience, and strong leadership capabilities. She is particularly recognized for structuring and negotiating sophisticated financing arrangements, navigating insolvency and special administration proceedings, coordinating multidisciplinary legal teams, and delivering pragmatic, solution-driven advice aligned with clients’ commercial objectives.
